What Are Chakras?
Chakras are non-physical organs that transform raw Life Force energy into more subtle, and useable, forms of energy, of a different type. The chakras do not, themselves, contain energy. Raw energy is drawn up from the planet, by the minor chakras in the legs and feet, and fed into the main chakra system.
The major chakras are situated at:
- MASTER: Base chakra (base of spine, between anus and genitals)
- Sacral chakra (slightly above the sacrum)
- Solar Plexus chakra (1 hand-span above the belly button)
- MASTER: Heart chakra (center of the chest)
- Throat chakra (base of throat, above where it joins the chest)
- Brow chakra (exact center of forehead)
- MASTER: Crown chakra (whole top of head above the hairline)
Let's start with the Sacral Chakra:
THE SACRAL CKAKRA
The Sacral Chakra is located in the sacrum (hence the name)
and is considered to correspond to the genitourinary system
and the adrenals. The key issues involving this - also called sex chakra -
are relationships, violence, addictions, basic emotional needs, and pleasure.
Physically, this chakra governs reproduction, mentally it governs creativity,
emotionally it governs joy, and spiritually it governs enthusiasm
We have arrived from the Earth, force that is motionless, rock-solid,
and opaque. We have achieved knowledge of our bodies, our
foundation, and belongings connected with one. We are at the moment
prepared to bring in a novel aspect.
As we go in the second chakra, we come across change.
Our solitary life turns out to be duality; our tip is converted into a line;
the firm, a fluid; motionlessness is converted into movement. We have
achieved a level of independence.
All the way through alteration we invent and realize dissimilarity.
Dissimilarity, at its limits, generates divergence. Divergence creates
magnetism and development. Developments are necessary and
feature of all life.
The second chakra is in the lower abdomen, centered stuck between
the navel and the genitals. It keeps in touch with the sacral vertebrae
and the nerve ganglion called the sacral plexus. This plexus hooks into
the sciatic nerve and is a hub of movement for the body. It is time and
again described as the "seat of life."
Its element is water. For that reason, the chakra communicates with
physical operations comprising with respect to liquid: blood flow,
urinary exclusion, sexuality and reproduction.
Characteristically, this chakra is the gathering place of sexuality,
feelings, sensation, recreation, change, and nurturance. Like water, it
is ruled by the Moon, which manipulates the tides and our sentiments.
The Sanskrit term for the second chakra is Svadhisthana, which means
"sweetness." This is an appropriate title for the sweetness of craving,
contentment, and sexuality connected with the life-giving waters of
Svadhisthana. Its color is orange, and its lotus holds a curved Moon
enclosed by six petals.
The second chakra symbolizes the personality of "two" and proceeds
polarity, bringing about the interchange in the body and consciousness
that commences the rising procedure of twisting Kundalini as she goes
up all the way through the chakras. Encountering "other" generates
wants, and want gets a hold us to move, to get in touch with, to
develop and modify.
All the chakras are associated by a spiritual passage flowing in a
straight line up to the spine called the sushumna. Two alternating
passages, Ida and Pingala, coil in figure-eight like samples around
each chakra, going across the sushumna. These routes are amongst
thousands of spiritual passages called nadis (from nad, meaning
"motion"). Ida and Pingala stand for the lunar and solar aspects, in
that order. They are in charge for "tuning" the chakras, causing them
to rotate.
We have added a degree of realization to our physical consciousness.
Our supernatural intelligence at this stage is practiced in the form of
sentiments. We may “experience” something is mistaken, but the
information is not yet aware.
If the chakra is too open, there is an inclination to experience each
person’s feelings or to be excessively lined by one’s own sentiments
with repeated and extraordinary expressive incidents. If the chakra is
blocked, then we are unexciting, uninteresting, motionless and boring.
We are absent with our feelings, have very little craving or excitement,
and modest or no appeal in sexuality.
If at all possible, we are supposed to be able to welcome polarities,
experience our sentiments, and communicate ourselves sexually
exclusive of misplacing the relationship with our own self.
The most important characteristic of the second chakra, on the other
hand, is sexuality. Sexuality is an existence power. It is the water that
relaxes the solid Earth and prepares it for alteration. It is a power over
and over again deprived of or misrepresented, and being cheated of
our enjoyment, we are robbed of our control. When we are unable to
find our yearning, we leave behind our determination. Force and
determination are characteristics of the next chakra, and enjoyment
and want are their seed. Sexuality is the blossom of that seed. Force
and determination are its fruits.
