What Are Chakras?

Chakras are non-physical organs that transform raw life energy into more subtle, and useable, forms of energy, of a different type. The chakras do not, themselves, contain energy. Raw energy is drawn up from the planet, by the minor chakras in the legs and feet, and fed into the main chakra system.

The major chakras are situated at:

  1. MASTER: Base chakra (base of spine, between anus and genitals)
  2. Sacral chakra (slightly above the sacrum)
  3. Solar Plexus chakra (1 hand-span above the belly button)
  4. MASTER: Heart chakra (center of the chest)
  5. Throat chakra (base of throat, above where it joins the chest)
  6. Brow chakra (exact center of forehead)
  7. MASTER: Crown chakra (whole top of head above the hairline)

 

They are best imagined as roughly the size of the palm of your hand, except for the crown chakra, which is much larger.

 

Let's move on with the Solarplexus Chakra:

THE SOLARPLEXUS CKAKRA

Earth, water and fire. With our bodies grounded and our feelings
graceful, we now shift on to control, power and determination.

This is our third chakra, a yellow lotus of ten petals, to be found at the
solar plexus—the place where we get those butterfly feelings at the
time when we experience a scared feeling or incapable situation. Its
element is fire—fire—that branches out and renovates a substance into
liveliness, generous of brightness and tenderness. This chakra is a
symbol of our "get up and go," our deed, our determination, our
energy, and our intelligence of individual force. Its Sanskrit name,
Manipura, represents “radiant gem." We can imagine of it as a
shimmering yellow Sun, shining in the course of the center of our
body.

On the bodily feature, the third chakra sets of laws for metabolism, the
procedure whereby we turn food (stuff) into liveliness and
achievement.

Digestion difficulties, appetite dilemmas, hypoglycemia, diabetes,
ulcers, or dependence on stimulants (such as caffeine) are all
correlated to an out of order of the third chakra. Weight issues may
also be a signal that the body is not as it should be revolving its
matter into energy.

We can also estimate the physical condition of this chakra by
investigating our body formation at this level: tense, hard bellies,
hollow diaphragms, or huge potbellies are all signs of third chakra

Investigating your connection to the belongings of fire can give added
evidence to the character of your third chakra. Are you recurrently
cold, bodily or psychologically? Do you get excited, hot- raged? Is your
approach speedy and vigorous, or unhurried and tired?

When the third chakra is blocked down, one may experience

by uniting the polarity brought in by the second chakra, just as
electrical energy is made by the mixture of polarities. Having made yet
one more step in the direction of awareness, we now moderate our
requirements and intuitions with facts, making choices that are then
put into act, again merging the extremity of mind and body.

Power, then, is seen as an action of grouping, of combining jointly
fractions to construct a superior totality. When we combine and unite
all the parts surrounded by us — our bodies, our feelings, our dreams,
our information, and then we come into view of the complete and
commanding.

Exercise
Initially and primarily, be sure you have a lot of open windows in your
resting area; not a crevice at top and bottom, but large open windows.

down completely on your back with stretched out arms and no cushion
and light wrapping or, what is superior, none at all. Loosen up from
head to foot; close your mouth; take gently a deep and slow breath,

breath as extended as you can without stressing; then see how very
gradually and efficiently you can let the breath out. Pay very specific
consideration to this. See how gradually and bit by bit you can exhale
the breath. Now, “get your breath” if you need to – as you certainly
will if you are unaccustomed to deep breathing – and then do it all
over again. Repeat this five to seven times. Acquire about four
seconds to inhale, eight seconds for holding and as many as possible
for exhaling. Perhaps you cannot hold the breath so lengthy at first;
keep in mind not to strain. Smooth, easy, steady – these are the first
fundamentals. Putting into practice will lengthen the breath. In the
beginning I could not inhale longer than two seconds, hold three and
exhale three or four; and my heart beat as if I had applied myself
immensely. It was three months before we could take five consecutive

If you are a man, or a woman who is reasonable as much as necessary
or lean sufficient to wear no corset, replicate this work out two or
three times each day, for all time in the same location and with the

immediate, and then see how very bit by bit and effortlessly you can
exhale the breath. Do this not over three times at one work out and
only when you are unhappy. Then rise and be in motion as if you were
going anywhere and meant to get there. Get involved in what you
have to do. The next time you think about your gloominess you will
speculate what makes you feel so contented and full of quiet go.

These instructions seem complicated, but after a trial or two and a rereading

Stand with feet placed steadily on the ground, knees to some extent
bent, heels about two feet apart. Lift your arms at the same time over
the head with hands united. Arch back slightly. Making an "ah" sound
as you move down; move backward and forward the whole upper
portion of the body descending by bringing your hands amongst your
legs and from side to side. The movement should be even and speedy,
giving out as much strength and influence as is possible. Let the hum
be full and loud. Do again five to ten times in a conference, and feel
the energy break throughout into your upper body. This exercise is
also an excellent anger release.
