A Reiki Manual is Your Guide to Get a Powerful Healer
Within most Reiki Manual, Reiki will be mostly defined as a gentle, yet profound, non-invasive therapy, which can facilitate stress-reduction and relaxation, support effective immune-system function, enhance the body’s self-healing mechanisms, and replenish and nurture vitality.
You will further explore in the Reiki manual that Reiki is very efficient in combination with other therapies, and has been proven to effectively stimulate the recovery process.
Rather than acting solely on a physical level, Reiki is holistic in its effect - eliciting a healing response across the entire spectrum of ones being - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
It can be beneficial in the resolving of physical, emotional, mental disorders and nervous conditions, and further helps experiencing a greater sense of balance, feeling of well-being, and wholeness in one’s life.
The Reiki treatments have no negative side effects, and no concentration on the part of clients is neither needed, nor expected.
The complete Reiki Manual should contain 3 main parts:
- Reiki 1
- Reiki 2 –
- Reiki 3 Master Level.
Reiki Manual Part 1
What does Level 1 Reiki mean?
At Level 1, the Reiki Master Attunement opens the student to the flow of Reiki or to the awareness of Reiki.
Traditionally, in Usui Reiki, the student of Level 1 the Reiki manual is focused on hands-on therapy at a purely physical level either for self-treatment or for treating others.
However, the inner focus of Level 1 is about learning to become a clear channel for Reiki.
In Reiki manual lecture 1 it is about learning to let go and let the energy flow - about learning to step out of the way - learning to override the desire of one’s conscious mind to interfere in the therapeutic process, and instead, simply let the Reiki phenomenon ‘happen’.
The attitude should be almost Zen-like, compassionate, and as detached as possible. You have to learn sitting quietly, ‘no-doing’, not seeking after outcomes, Reiki just flows. If healing happens, it happens, if it doesn’t, it doesn’t - either way it’s no concern of yours.
Developing this attitude early on will greatly enhance the quality of one’s journey with Reiki.
Reiki Manual Part 2
What means Reiki Level 2?
As Level 1 opens the student to the awareness of the energy of Reiki, the Level 2 Reiki Master Attunement deepens the quality of that flow.
The student should have developed the attitude of ‘compassionate detachment from expectations’ at level 1, the teaching in Reiki manual Level 2 is adding a set of symbolic tools enabling them to ’set’ intentions - and broaden the scope of their therapeutic interventions.
Within the Level 2 Reiki manual and training, the student is introduced to a set of three sacred Reiki Master symbols, and is instructed in their use as a means of:
- enhancing the effectiveness of physical level treatment - both hands-on and in the clients aura) - performing distant or remote treatments - i.e. for people not physically present - carrying out treatment at deeper psycho-emotional levels
Reiki Manual Part 3
What does Reiki Level 3 mean? Reiki Level 3 is commonly referred to as the ‘Master’ level, but can be more properly seen as the ‘Teacher’ level. On this level the student will manifest the ability to transmit Initiation/Reiki Master Attunements to others.
This level’s Attunement brings a greater deepening of connection to the Reiki phenomenon.
The Reiki Manual student is introduced to a fourth sacred symbol - the Master symbol, and is instructed in its uses, including its significance in the Initiation/Attunement process.
A complete Reiki Manual should include all levels including the symbols. However, Reiki Level I training will provide all the basic awareness required to practice this special therapeutic art - primarily for self-healing, and also for treating others - family, friends, pets - even household plants. Level 2 will deepen level 1 and level 3 will enable you to teach others.
For people who will be attuned, and expand through the Reiki Manual, the energy healing method Reiki can be utilized as a form of body-centered meditation and, especially at the higher levels, will be an invaluable tool for spiritual growth, having a subtle and transforming effect on one’s personal development.
